“We wanted to create a product that not only smells amazing but also brightens people’s day with every use,” said Joey Wilson, a Junior at BYU-Idaho and the current Chief Financial Officer for Smell Ya Later. “Running Smell Ya Later has been an incredible experience. Seeing our air fresheners bring a little extra joy and freshness to people’s lives makes all the hard work worth it. Every day, I’m driven by the challenge of improving our products, refining our business, and making sure our customers have the best experience possible.”
Being part of the IBC program at BYU-Idaho, Smell Ya Later provides students with the unique opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting. Through hands-on experience in marketing, finance, and product development, students like Joey gain invaluable insight into what it takes to run a successful business. “Being part of an IBC company has taught me so much about leadership, teamwork, and what it truly means to be an entrepreneur,” Joey added. “The support from our team and the excitement from our customers push me to work harder and make this company the best it can be.”
